We have two new welcome additions to the Fairbourne and Two Tails family, no not new wines (although stay tuned for news of our 2014 releases)…… this time we’re talking “mowers”! These beautiful girls are gentle on the paddocks and won’t eat too high in the trees. Of course our lovely ladies will also be making their own organic contribution to Fairbourne and Two Tails in other ways…..
As you can imagine Russell and I had lots of fun thinking of names for our new girls and settled on Rose & Lucy, inspiration came from Spike Milligan’s Bad Jelly the Witch story where two children Tim and Rose, look for their lost cow called Lucy and meet magical enchanted forest characters.
In the story Rose has red hair that hangs to her waist… so our red/brown miniature Galloway is called Rose and Lucy is the black and white one.
If we had a steer it would be apt to name him Tim, but as it happens we did buy these two cuties from Tim Birdsall at Tullamore Galloways.
